yeah, what you put on television is one of countless other distractions that are equally diverting in each viewer’s room.
One hopes they get a few things out of it, especially when it’s mission programming such as the stuff I did for public television, speaking personally.

but it really sucks when you’re in the crisis part.

Personally it feels much better not to be living UNDER it but I can’t help myself from following this deeply important stage of history, sadly as granularly as WIFI will allow.

As a filmmaker for television I have always been impressed with how 95% of the audience I have seen watch my stuff cannot focus on the screen for more than a few seconds at a time, they just can’t do it, they watch tv as one of many distractions in their daily routine.

we’ll see how his mayoral tenure shakes out but i am convinced that Mamdani has the juice. not just the charisma to win an election but the temperament to govern and the measured pragmatism of someone who genuinely believes what they’re saying and wants to accomplish real things.
