dramatic foggy nights like these make me want to waste money on a wide angle for my mirrorless, phone cam will have to do!
Daddy Issues (house party) took over the former Men's Room Bar and it was nice having it actually feel like a gay bar in there for once
Can't believe I spent 3 hours in The Gay 90s last night and didn't have a horrible time
Today I baked cinnamon rolls, rewatched one of my favorite movies, listened to the (fantastic) new Tame Impala album, read a good chunk of a romance novel, and burned lots of candles. Quality cozy Sunday!
Today I made chilli and cornbread, and packed away my shorts and sandals. Sad to admit the delightfully long summer is indeed over.
Not sure I can watch House Hunters anymore, too many of the buyers are my age and going gaga over gray LVP. Ashamed of my generation 😣
Midway Airport has got to be the worst airport in the country to get stuck at on a long delay, miserable place.
my phone autocorrects Winnipeg to all-caps because apparently I am scream texting whenever that city comes up
I think logically I knew we mailed physical system statements, but the sight is still so shockingly analog.
Spotify, why must you insist on repeating eight tracks to death when the playlist is four hours long???

You'll pass through my hometown (Argusville, ND) sometime around 3-4am!
inner conflict: I love summer and would have no problem if it never ended, but I also really wanna get back to wearing flannels while making chilli and cinnamon rolls
Among workers age 16 and older, 22% commute to work by bus, bicycle, or walking and 23% work from home. (Source: 2023 ACS 5-year file; tables B08201, B08203, and B08006)
In the census tracts covering the Lyndale Ave South project area, 22% of households do not have access to a vehicle and 32% have fewer vehicles available than workers living there. This isn't as simple as small biz parking vs. the bicycle lobby - this is the truth of how a dense neighborhood moves.
Should you really be the national leader of a party if you can't resist bad-faith attacks on your party's endorsed candidates?
Hakeem Jeffries says of Cuomo's attacks on Mamdani for living in a rent controlled apartment: "It's a legitimate issue that has been raised, and the [Mamdani] campaign is going to have to address it."
Just about every modern design manual warns against using shared use paths where high pedestrian volumes are present, really confused how the county arrived at this: nacto.org/publication/...

"Last year there were ten murders in the NYC subway system, with well over a billion total rides taken. During the same time period, there were 253 traffic fatalities in New York City. One person dead every day and a half. Cars? Those things are fucking dangerous."
Pulled into Union Depot and made my transfer to Route 94 with literally 10 seconds to spare 🙌🏼
This train may be obscenely delayed but at least I have Biscoffs this time!
This is one of those things that I thought was bullshit until I started and found it easier to maintain energy throughout my workouts.
Sunday crossword a bit on the nose while I'm returning from Market Days on an Amtrak train that's been stuck in Milwaukee for two hours
dancing to a like 15-minute mix of French Kiss in smartbar really was a peak experience for a Chicago house fan 🪩
calling in the militia because a script kiddie got decked for being a clueless dumbass at bar close is wild
man the CTA really has a bus bunching problem
Alright big reason the train beats flying: ran into some people on the Borealis that I sorta knew and sat with them. Not being belted in and having space, folks were switching around the whole way socializing, got to know familiar faces better. Can't do that squeezed in like tinned fish!
