I guess I should make one of those "media" (mostly video games) threads for this year. Didn't continue my 2024 one when I switched sites but I'll do one now.
Oh yeah I'm well aware of Crash 1 having problems in N Sane but if someone was like "I prefer this cause of the controls and the QoL" I wouldn't really argue.
If it didn't have the pill hitbox sliding I think I may prefer it .
So the PvZ Replanted concept art gallery seems to have quite a bit of Garden Warfare series concept art? That's one way to have a bunch of unseen concepts when most of PvZ1's concept art has been posted over the years.
Concept art for the Foot Soldier Zombie from Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 1, as well as an early concept for a playable Imp, later introduced in Garden Warfare 2. Concept art for Zomboss' blimp from Garden Warfare 2 using Bungie Zombies Concept art for an area with a giant Lincoln Memorial-esque statue of Zomboss in a wide area with blimps that certainly looks more like a Garden Warfare/BFN arena than a PvZ2 location. Concept art for the All-Star Zombie's Football Cannon minigun
The use of coloured lighting really helps CTRNF visually, I don't know why N. Sane just did not really use it ever, when it's such a huge part of the Crash trilogy's art.
Still don't like most of the character models though.
Adding time trials to Crash 1 and 2 is conceptually neat! They don't really work in a lot of Crash 1's level design though, and I think adding the Crash Dash to Crash 2 after beating the game specifically for time trials makes "time trials in Crash 2" less interesting
The only one I could see the argument for is Crash 1 with the QoL changes and less stiff physics but the PS1 version still looks better and there's a romhack for the QoL stuff in that version anyways
Fuck it make Q Year 4.
I wouldn't exactly be too shocked if all the dapper characters with names that are just letters are connected but also Capcom I would like something more concrete for Q/G
JP in C Viper's story mode hitting the exact same pose they gave the SFV Shadaloo website Q artwork that mentioned Viper was investigating Q during SFV...
A screenshot of C Viper and JP from C Viper's arcade mode in Street Fighter 6.
JP has his right hand on his hat and his left arm tucked behind him. Q's art from the Street Fighter V Shadaloo Research Institute website.
They have their right hand on their hat, and their left arm tucked into their trench coat.
I hope that whatever was done gets at least shown off, if the rest of people at his studio don't just finish it.
But like... damn.
Running into someone you know on CrossWorlds
"Sight Of Night I Cheer To Embrace A Magic" doesn't really mean anything but Dennis St James puts his fucking HEART into those lyrics so it's fucking awesome
Sega I need Burning Depths in CrossWorlds just for a new We Are Burning Rangers remix (also maybe throw Angels With Burning Hearts in there cause Transformed left it out and it's got the S.O.N.I.C. T.E.A.M. lyrics which would be perfect)
Hoping CrossWorlds gets some Sega DLC tracks cause a remix of Replay (Virtua Racing Deluxe) in that game would make me do backflips

This is why I think it's important to remember Twitter's stat of 75% bot activity compared to notoriously botted sites like Facebook being 2%
SASR is the only game where I can say I *LOVE* Monkey Target
Also the Kirby game that sold like 8 million fucking copies
Thinking about when it didn't make IGN's "most overlooked Switch games" list but the single best selling Warriors game did
Can you believe it's 2025 and people still sleep on Cadence of Hyrule
Finally finished mine, this was fun
Hypothetical Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Booster Course Pass

I think it's fucked up that my favourite Sonic TV show is genuinely probably the one where Iblis sings about going on Facebook Marketplace
Also yeah the engine that caused me to get stuttering in Doom on a modern PC eventually relying on slop coding makes sense
Like, yeah, someone who prefers how a sprite based game looks with texture filtering that it wasn't designed around because "technology" WOULD like the thing that doesn't yield good results ever
I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that GZDoom nuked itself with AI slop code when by default it looks like this
A screenshot of Doom II: Hell On Earth Map02 Underhalls in GZDoom with texture filtering turned on, as is default.
