Nothing that I did, but what I am, including my inclusion in one of America's largest religious, uh, categories (for lack of a better term). Atheists have 0% representation in the Senate.

But Platner & defenders think white men deserve infinite second chances in light of hate speech.
AND ANOTHER THING!

Platner & ilk think misogyny and antisemitism should not disqualify white men for political office.

If I were to run for political office, do you know what would disqualify me?

That I'm non-binary. That I'm autistic. Even that I'm an atheist.
Graham Platner to @daveweigel.bsky.social:
"How do you expect to win back men when you go back through somebody’s Reddit history and just pull it all out and say: ‘Oh, my God, this person has no right to ever be in politics?’"

DSCC Chair Gillibrand: “It’s up to the voters of Maine to decide.”
People can grow and change, yes. They are not entitled NATIONAL LAW-MAKING POWERS ON TAXPAYER DIME at the finish line of that process!! And certainly not before they get their Nazi tattoos removed! Dipshit!
This is what I was saying: yeah, if you've ever had a Nazi phase, you shouldn't get to have a political career later on, even if you are very sorry and reformed! Because you have to be very stupid and self-absorbed to EVER have a Nazi phase, and that's not a good political leader!
White men disillusioned with the right need to get comfortable with the notion that they will need to look to people who don't look like them for leadership from time to time.

Especially when the crisis at hand was caused by white men trying to consolidate wealth and political power.

Anything else about their current-day politics is, frankly, a moot point. They have already proven themselves prone to remarkably bad judgement.

Also, maybe don't take guys with Nazi tattoos at their word about their current-day politics. Or anything! Just as a matter of general principle.
Because I fear this may come up again before midterms, my general-purpose stance:

A person who does not have the good sense to not get a Nazi tattoo cannot be trusted to have the political instincts necessary to successfully serve the good of the public.

Hello, new followers! If any of you are attending Orycon this weekend, so am I! Check out the schedule of panels I will be speaking on.
My schedule for Orycon 45 is up! If you're in Portland, OR the weekend after next, come stop by for panels about the publishing industry and writing queer stories!

I've been enjoying Deezer as an alternative. They don't really have a free version, but their paid version is cheaper than Spotify's, and they have actual AI regulation policies.

Aside from the fact that it's currently slated for mobile free-to-play only, it actually looks pretty rad. Not my dream Dissidia by any means (and not the desperately needed duodecim port to modern machines), but I like that they're using the quirky sub-franchise to get quirkier.
Friends and family reaching out to me this morning like, "New weird Dissidia game announced. How are you feeling? 🥺"
If your first comments on 1984 aren't "wtf were those romance scenes", then

A) you didn't read 1984
B) you've never spoken to a woman

Like yeah he was right about totalitarianism, whatever, but why should I take political soothsaying from a guy who thinks tits work like that?
The fact that the only part of Orwell's 1984 that anyone talks about is its political thesis and not the heinously peak "men writing women" romance and sex scenes in the second act is proof that no one has ever actually read 1984.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
I saw a leopard-print cybertruck today. Please keep me and my family in your thoughts as we navigate this troubling situation.
Finished the Hypnos quest in Hades II last night. Spoilers for that and the Hades II endgame in general.

(not actually graphic, just spoilers)

A little message from our CEO and founder @andyhunter777.bsky.social ahead of Anti-Prime:
What a lovely message from @bookshop.org. Glad to see them growing and growing. We CAN claim back what has been taken from us by these monstrous corporations, and it starts with things like this. Grab some books these next couple days!
I acknowledge that this is an extremely weird time to be promo-ing events in my city! I also hate it! Yipee!! 💀

I may have beaten Time in fiction, but in real life? Oh, ho....it's not so simple, my friend ...
Using my inherent human free will to stay up until 2 am hitting credits on Hades II and ruining my whole sleep schedule for today even though I have many important grown up things I need to do.
However much it was, they must not have felt very good about their investment, because it was gone pretty quickly, and now, uh, this!

Welcome to the Hater Army, Merriam-Webster 🫡
I think it dawned on them pretty quickly that this

A) could have been achieved with a single line of HTML, and
B) had literally no use case.

Idk how much they paid a tech company to put a sparkle emoji next to this "feature", but it obviously did not raise the value of their product.
I think I've talked about this before on here, but they briefly had a genAI feature on their online thesaurus. It operated automatically, and all it did was no-context pull a random synonym from the list of existing words from the page to highlight.
As someone who uses MW for work, I suspect this pure genAI haterism (affectionate) is born from the fact that they figured out early on that genAI is a scam. After they fell for it.
We are thrilled to announce that our NEW Large Language Model will be released on 11.18.25.
