Fine art printmaker from York, England. Dapple scrumper. Sometimes found loitering in a medieval hall and talking to strangers. Not at home to joy sponges. More professional and businesslike on Substack and my website. https://linktr.ee/janeduke

My occasional post for people who have followed me for printmaking (thank you!), explaining that most of the grown-up printmaking stuff happens over on my Substack, which is completely free by the way.

I thought EXACTLY the same thing. It's what the court has been told; it doesn't mean it's true, which is what is implied here.

Oh how ruddy marvellous! Mind you I still can't fully realise that something over 100 years old/antique is no longer automatically Victorian or earlier. When did that happen??

I think perhaps you missed the significance of the first three words of my post 🙂. My interaction with them was not as a private individual, otherwise I assure you I would not have held back.

A Hall visitor this morning confidently told me there's 'a big problem' with 'all the migrants' who are 'eating all the swans'. It took every fibre of tact I possess to explain this is bollocks without inadvertently implying she was a gullible idiot who shouldn't be allowed access to the internet.

*whispers* You can also delete books from your Kindle, even though you've PAID for them.

Nominative determinism innit.

But...but....but surely his explanation is the exact opposite of what actually happens? It's not that we pronounce an 'r' in Shaun but that we *don't* pronounce one in shorn. (With the possible exception of Cornwall and Devon). I have never heard Shaun (or Sean) pronounced Shorrn.

I have become a huge fan of Dulux 'Easycare washable and tough' in my most recent redecorating. Just a pity it wasn't around when I had children/teenagers.

Ah, well, the floor and window sill are lovely 😬.

Is that the new extension? And are those recently painted walls or (hopefully) ones you haven't got round to painting yet??

It might just be a coincidence but, on the other hand, people are weird.

I mean, it could just be a coincidence, but ...🤷‍♀️

TIL you shouldn't post a video to your Instagram Stories of a massive spider in your sitting room (with 'The Hall of the Mountain King' as the soundtrack) unless you want to lose a whole bunch of followers overnight 😬.

At the end of the summer season Cheltenham Lido drains down the pool and re-fills for winter cold water swimming. But before that, they open it to dogs for the weekend. It's Mabel's favourite day of the year.

Paths covered with lethal quantities of marbles disguised as acorns today. Apparently it's a mast year. Again.

That must be frustrating - akin to finding out the registration has slipped on a print. Fingers crossed for this batch.

I've got this lovely chap and two of his fellow mummers on my wall. They cheer me up every time I see them.

I have belatedly heard you get Clubcard points if you get vaxxed at Tesco. Pretty sure I didn't get Advantage points when I went to Boots. Dammit.

Exactly this. It's like saying catching flu gives you future immunity.

One of the many reasons I only visit FB for one work group and don't even glance at my feed as I pass through.
