Since I finally logged back in….a quick update of my bookish life!!!!
Hello. Tina Knowles told me my hair was gorgeous tonight.

I met Beyoncé’s mom and spoke to her and took a picture with her. All because I read and talk about books. WOWZERS.
I’m fine with this!
Sunday at Black Romance Book Fest!

I’ll be at the Content Creator Meet & Greet at 2pm as well!!

Day 7. Donna Hill is a WRITER, her books will grab you and hold tight until you reach the end. This book was nothing Ike what I expected but it’s been one of my favorites!!! Also, if I was Leone I woulda had my cake and ate it too 😉😉😉 #28DaysofBR
Thank you, I know that whole step with as many times I’ve watched that episode
This was soooooo good!!!!
‘Sick of smut’ are they?

WELL.

Here’s a smutty book about two Black bisexual men making a kinky contract and then getting up to SHENANIGANS in the woods.

It’s bold, hot, proud and full of vulnerability and honesty. And there is NOTHING wrong with it. By @owlslibrary.bsky.social

My name is Jaleesa, so it should be no surprise that A Different World is my most favorite show of all time.

Today you can watch all seasons (not season 1) of the show and the reason my parents did not name me Kelly on @Netflix . I picked my favorite episodes and gave you a book to match.
Does anyone have a Kindle Colorsoft? If so, do you love it?
Day 6. Gwynne Forster knew how to craft love stories that felt real, emotional, and always unforgettable. Her Black Romance stories remind us that love is always worth the risk. Rufus and Naomi drove me crazy; but of all the couples we got from this legend they at the top of my list. #28DaysofBR
That Authors Note and Prologue had me crying…just so you know
Well I started Can’t Get Enough. Whew. Already. #blackbooksky
Oooooo I can’t wait to see the set!!!
Day 5. I’d never heard of Van Whitfield until I was doing research for more Black Male Authors writing Black Romance in the 90’s. He published 3 books and from what I found people liked his books because they brought humor and authenticity. Looking forward to reading this one!

Don’t be jealous but I’m about to listen to Victoria Christopher Murray talk about Harlem Rhapsody which I finished this morning and LOVED.
Day 4. Sandra Kitt, the FIRST Black Author to write for Harlequin. A trailblazer. These three books are so special to me, I cried when I lost them and then cried again when I was able to find replacement copies. #28DaysofBR
And on Day 3 of Black History Month…..Hendrix. My spirit animal.
Day 3. Francis Ray knew how to deliver a Black Romance story and Forever Yours is no exception! Listen Kane Taggart was a MAN and he LOVED Victoria, like you could feel it. This was EVERYTHING I love about an arranged marriage story. #28DaysofBR
Cult thriller? 👀👀👀
Rochelle Alers. Another pioneer who really helped to shape the genre we love so much. The characters she writes have so much depth and Nicole and Zach are proof of that. I want to say this was my first single parent read and it’s probably why it’s one of my favorite tropes to this day.

I’ve heard really good things about Down South Bayou!!!
