Did a writing sprint yesterday to get an idea out of my head. Pretty impressed w/ myself that I managed over 1300 words in about two hours. However I have NO idea how that compares to the average word count per hour. Solution: start doing it more often and compare to my own previous results.

Two more rejection emails. Guess I'm going for a stupid long bike ride while the weather's still nice.

Theoretically, if I had an extremely specific idea for a horror zine, how would I (theoretically) do a submission call for it

Ever since recorded music attained fidelity on-par with live performances, it could be argued that nobody "needs" to learn to play an instrument.

But luckily we decided the world is a better place when we teach each other how to play instruments so we still do it.

I feel the same about writing.

Did the first pass with my usual editor (my lovely wonderful amazing partner), it's sitting at about 7,900 words now. If anybody would like to give it a pass before I send it out let me know. It's horror and it's about a teenage boy who can set shit on fire with his mind.

FIRST DRAFT DONE. 8182 WORDS. GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY.

At about 6200 words, wondering if it's going to inch into novelette territory by the end. I certainly don't try to write things long on purpose so that'll be something new for me
