Tens of millions of essentially factory farmed poultry are dumped into the countryside each year. They boost the population of mesopredators like foxes, reducing ground nesting bird populations. They are an obvious avian flue hazard. They eat declining reptiles. Turn out they're also a health hazard

No doubt that was around 7th Sept, part of a huge movement of this species over the N Sea. An unprecedented arrival in daylight was noted especially along the East Anglian coast.

Local pet shop had one when I was a kid. They found it dead on the floor one morning as the tank lid had a large gap.
Unethical & should be banned.
