"Cultural change can't be legislated"

But it can be made using a set of known actions & campaign elements. We've made cultural change before in Aust eg with smoking, drinkdriving, litter, seat belts.
1st we have to want to make the change. Then we need to fund it

France called Gisele Pelicot a hero. What would Australia do?
France celebrates victims of sexual violence with compassion and justice, while Australia continues to doubt, punish, and silence them.

About time, too. It seems the main message from The Humpback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, and Elephant Man had escaped them til now. Even the damn kids toons have Scar-like baddies. Its no wonder kids are rude to people who look a bit different to the average Jo.
Proud to be a feminist killjoy & let my anger at failures & injustice speak its name. We've tried being polite & where did that get us?
Despite the best efforts of the manosphere, our feminist rage is not going anywhere

I so wish she was right, though
We would all have loved to have Lyons there, but calling any woman reporter, even one you may think of as lighter weight (and who isn't compared to Lyons?) a "stenographer" is sexist bullshit & a hangover from the pleistocene
Marr is bright & a clever author but being an interviewer is way above his pay grade. His attitude toward women & first nations guests is appalling. He even sneaks in a parting insults at the end of regular interviews with ABC journos eg Laura & Annabel who are way also above his pay grade. Baffling
Both stories brought to us by FoI inquiries by legit journos. Hmmmm
I;ve heard about nothing BUT the forecast all day! October average mentioned several times. Maybe just an ABC story???
Bus looks pretty good too. But they forgot the train. Trains beat everything else hands down because there's no one on the road (after they park - much more train station parking needed - and ride)

It wasn't anti-white to support boycotting South African teams under apartheid.

It's not Russophobia to support boycotting Russian teams after the invasion of Ukraine.

And it's not antisemitism to support boycotting Israeli teams after a genocide.
Yes. It's eroded or stoney etc. Not "rubbish" land.
There's only one thing worse than a duopoly vote that favours the ALP. It's a duopoly vote that favours the NLP. But I'll vote for the Green if they'll vote for the Teals?
Doesn't this miss the point? If parents are supervising kids' usage, even if it's to help them get around an unenforceable "ban", then those kids are probably just fine. My thinking is that making something illegal de facto makes it something that has to be discussed with parents so, all good?
I know what you mean and completely agree but - "rubbish" land is usually native bush that hasn't been cleared ie potential habitat
This photo alone is worth the work! Great art on the side of the caravan
He can see her more easily from down there
