Honestly, the buddy system is one of the few systems that I'm just "Meh" about

It's nice to show off a Pokémon but I get attached to one. Then the game's like "if you want to build on a medal you need to best friend lots of Pokémon, or these ones to evolve you need to do annoying side quests with"
