24 years ago, I remember hearing this news and feeling a loss unlike I have felt before. It hurts no less today.
But it also reminds me; as long as there is oppression, every act of humanity - big or small - can make the world a better place. And it is our duty to make sure it does.

At least one earlier strike was likely on the Pacific side as well — which is why survivors included an Ecuadorian (a Pacific country) and not anyone from Venezuela or Trindidad (Caribbean countries)
