I had no excuse last night, though 2 nights ago there was a HUGE cricket that was big enough to be making noise on a paper bag in the bedroom. Not cool.

This AM I somehow flung my arm in such a way that I knocked my water off the nightstand while dreaming HARD & then had to wake up to deal with it.

I was feeling a little sad after the BBC Sumo thing was over & next basho is Nov. Canada to the rescue!

Despite the triggeringly bad “cold” the announcer has, Curling Canada on YouTube is live streaming Pre-Trials all week & I fucking love it.

I had to dig out my acrylic paint for a class & I found it along with all the crap I used in serigraphy in uni.

So it has sat in that drawer for less than 25 years, more than …15? Has it really been that long? Dunno about the spray, but the paint is fine.

How is Koi, aside from the normal spicy?

Mac & cheese is AMAZING w/truffle (anything).

Second the eggs, but also, egg salad is *super* tasty with truffle bits.

If one has a way to grind them up, then it’s good as a sprinkle on popcorn, crisps, potato or veg.

(I love “lowbrow” truffle mashups, & especially white truffle anything!)

I managed to get into the lab & blood drawn in under 15 mins before @buttplug.engineer had to take the car for an appointment, so I didn’t have to get a Lyft home.

Haemo appt took several months to get in, so I totally forgot about the labs requirement.

I am still up on ~4 hours of sleep. Ug.

I had a serious sudden-awake panic attack at 3:30am. I had completely forgotten to get blood-work done for new Haematologist appt on Monday. It’s usually ordered for a week before. I made a a lab appt online & since then the whole day has been jam-packed idiocy & frustration.

I’m *tired*.

I still need to see them (they don’t really tour, but did a festival in LA last year. IIRC Kevin Haskin’s daughter is in now.)

I’d love to see a study on how nurses & docs in chemo & infusion clinics (for example) now refuse to wear respirators/masks around their most vulnerable patients & how the lack of basic PPE mandates for HCPs affects outcomes.

Wish we didn’t need these studies, but good to know vaccination helps!

I need to check it out again. I had a couple levels that were just consistently un-beatable unless I had VERY overpowered power-ups. Only have ever gotten a second goblin in … many, many hours of play.

As it is, poop photos are banned on all the (appropriately moderated) Crohn’s/IBD forums, can’t imagine the tech support/learning models for this - someone has to soft through literal shitloads of images to train any automated models for these things.

Such a novel bit of engineering, I really dislike clips (ambivalent on roll stops - depends on the implementation), so the ability to choose nub or no-nub is super ingenious! Best of both worlds! And it looks cool!
