I shouldn't have to clarify this but this post is about stupid things like "This guy made a shitty joke 5 years ago" or "this person didn't word their post in the best way" or "this girl made a mean statement in the heat of the moment." Minor disagreement shit. Not like, grooming or abuse.

Fun thing I've noticed: If people say they just want a simple apology, and go on about how "easy" it'd be to just admit wrongdoing and say sorry... They actually want the person they're mad at to lay themselves bare before them and grovel when they DO the simple thing!

I hate this expectation now for apologies to be big grand displays of guilt and self-flagellation. A simple "Yeah that was fucked up, I shouldn't have said that, I'm sorry." Just doesn't suffice anymore.
