the 'subtle hints' are basically just the, mentions of Ratch taking his death the hardest, Bee hearing him crying alone at night and that one scene from ch34 when Bee asks Ratchet wouldn't he do anything if it meant seeing his love again, and Ratchet just got quiet. b/c he would. but can't.

my 'canon to my heart' fact about New Protocols is that #OptiRatch is canon.
it's not tagged since it has has 0 bearing on the plot (since OP is dead) or even directly addressed, tho i have dropped a few subtle nods to this fact, but like. it's canon.

i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid

Writing part of this reunion from Soundwave's poverty and, if this ends up coming out like he has feelings for Megatron then ig that's what happens.
There's a fine line between love and devotion imo and it is. Very blurry here haha He is just glad that Megs is alive.
