Howdy hey! I'm Hailey, I'm an illustrator with a soft spot for frogs and rainbow pencils.

I did this X-Files piece for a zine a few years ago and I remember when I finished this I was like "omg this is so bad I can never show this publicly"

Today I was cleaning out my files and found this again and I was like what the hell, this is one of the best pieces I've ever made in my LIFE??????

🧵 (REPOST!) I realized I should probably start pushing this effort here! So since August I’ve been with a group of artists working together to fundraise for a young woman in Gaza, and while we’ve done some great work with it things have been slowing down a bit, unfortunately. (1/2)

An image telling the story of Shimaa Mohammed, before October, Shimaa was just starting her final year of university, studying software engineering, and planning for the future. Despite losing everything since then, she still has a huge drive to achieve her goals. She is only being held back by genocide, and honestly she is determined to live her life regardless!

Shimaa has found a way to finish her degree remotely, from her family’s tent by the sea, and she needs some supplies, along with daily necessities to make it happen. Eventually she hopes to cross the border, travel and learn skills that she can bring back to help rebuild Palestine.

Oh my gosh I am just absolutely obsessed with these. So curious, when you do things like this where it looks like you’re doing bigger individual drawings and then combining them into one, what size canvas are you using for the final sheet?
