I know she endorsed Shawn Moody in 2018 (I accidentally ended up sitting next to her staffer and his staffer working out the timing in a coffee shop while waiting for a Democratic organizer) but I can't find if she endorsed Collins in 2020
henrythedog.bsky.social
of course the issue with that is Snow is still alive and will for sure endorse Collins, so that'd be awkward but yeah lots of better more moderate choices if you felt you had to say a Republican (which you don't have to)
henrythedog.bsky.social
yeah really I never understood the idea of really knowing how many followers you have? and closely following what your numbers do, just like... its posting? its non generative
henrythedog.bsky.social
eating? idk but its fairly well known that Nazis made lamp shades and gloves out of human skin and soap from rendered human fat so... close enough?

because Trump straight up doesn't listen and hates to learn anything new actively fights against having new information, so he has the vague idea from childhood that "go to heaven=having been a good person"

I'm just shocked he's self aware enough to know he's not a good person.
henrythedog.bsky.social
was in the Moonies who believed in a Heaven plane? some cult did.. hmmm
henrythedog.bsky.social
its a lot more self aware then I would have expected him thinking he won't make it to heaven

"we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things" is a very... questionable way of talking about one of the most fascist right populist "I'd like to take over MAGA when Trump dies" almost Trump 2.0's VP Senators there is, lots of people want to ban stock trading, is it worth admiring Josh Hawley?
henrythedog.bsky.social
sadly I think American Jews from 1945 till like the late 2010s (and still lots today) did themselves a massive disservice by gaslighting themselves that they were just white ethnics and antisemitism was in the past and thus were blind to the off-label antisemitism all around us
henrythedog.bsky.social
no, if you want to get those guys you say Margaret Chase Smith for Mainer brownie points, you throw out Lisa Murkowski or John Curtis if you have to do current, Hawley speaks to a very particular white male populist crowd not older Yankee liberal Republicans.
henrythedog.bsky.social
yeah its the Democratic Primary you don't need to say a Republican, if you felt like you had to go historical, this is Maine you can say Margaret Chase Smith and be safe, and yeah if you had to pick one currently Hawley is top 3 worst picks, amazing.
henrythedog.bsky.social
it is kinda amazing that its not just all men but all white men.

also you're running in the Democratic Primary you don't need to say a Republican and if you feel like you do, its Maine, say Margaret Chase Smith no one will object to that.
henrythedog.bsky.social
As a Maine Democratic primary voter I do have to say short of "I look forward to working with President Trump" I can't really think of a statement less likely to appeal to me than saying Josh Hawley is a Senator you admire.
henrythedog.bsky.social
they're gonna rebuild the temple in Trump brand gold....
henrythedog.bsky.social
did you know he listed Josh Hawley as one of the US Senators he admires?

thats fun, any ways I don't vote for people who admire fascist scum.
henrythedog.bsky.social
personally I will not be voting for someone who admires Josh Hawley.
henrythedog.bsky.social
there's a lot of left bros who keep dreaming of the day Daddy Trump will embrace them and his populism will turn to the light side, they tend to see Hawley as a populist fellow traveler, the rest of us see him as a fascist little worm.

"Smoking outside after the town hall, Platner rattled off some current U.S. senators who he admires: Independent Bernie Sanders, and Democrats Chris Van Hollen, Brian Schatz, Sheldon Whitehouse, Ed Markey. On the other side of the aisle, Josh Hawley of Missouri."
In Collins’ hometown, Platner brings his grassroots pitch to The County • Maine Morning Star
Graham Platner, the progressive, union-backed oysterman challenging longtime Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, has been making national headlines and turning out large crowds at town halls in southe...

so not one example? come on win me here, I'm a Maine voter, I've been to his webpage nothing, been to his wiki nothing, what has he done? please tell me.
henrythedog.bsky.social
oh well enlighten me, what campaigns as he worked on? what was he doing in 2024? what local changes has he helped effect?
henrythedog.bsky.social
I'm the local and state, and no.
henrythedog.bsky.social
really it was your buddy handed you the card of a good plumber and rather than calling her up, you called a number you saw on a bathroom wall with the message "I'll fuck up your apartment" and you're shocked by the guy with a hammer smashing your shit
henrythedog.bsky.social
so we're what? 3? years into AI? and now we're reaching the point where we can look around and ask "how as it changed the world?" and the answer is... uh... you see a lot of AI slop?

it's a widely held belief that between February 2020 and January 2021 Joe Biden was President, other than for stimulus check when Trump was briefly President, and Trump seems to think 2020 President Biden rigged the 2020 election to elect Biden President.
