I'm Haruka, short for 'BlueHaruka'.
I'm a freelance digital artist who specializes in creature and character design. I love all things relating to animals and fantasy critters, especially Pokémon!

Digital art piece of my interpretation of the Pokémon, Cresselia.

This particular one is named 'Daealla', as she is my Cresselia.
Her body is primarily blue and yellow, with wings varying in shades of pink.

A feathery crest with pink highlights covers her head, as a silver plate with a red jewel covers her forehead. Pink ribbons flow from her body, and she has a night sky backdrop behind her full of sparkling stars.

Her body glows and sparkles faintly.

An illustration piece made for my personal project, 'Matriarch'.

Showcased here is 'Arkkus', a magical Snow Leopard character, looking on as a blizzard rages behind him. His abilities leave him unfazed by the elements.

Fanart made of Zak and Wheezie from the children's television series, Dragon Tales.

Sibling, two-headed dragon characters that share a single body.

My interpretation of the Hamster-based Pokémon, Morpeko, in both its Full Belly and Hangry mode.

This is part of my 'Pokémon Profiles' project that I do, in which I showcase art of various Pokémon in my own art style, and share biology and ecology headcanons for said featured Pokémon.

just in case anyone hasnt said this you can be against censorship while also having boundaries. all those people that make you uncomfortable, you are more than welcome to not want to be around them but you should still advocate for their right to create those things that make you uncomfortable.

I’ll be honest. I built my brand on the freaks and then ignored them at one point in my life. white queers tend to do that in spaces like this, fixate themselves at the top and are protected by the “good/bad” artist system. It’s a reflection of queer spaces and society at large.

Exactly! We're all learning. The reason for me to keep trying and to keep reaching out is how happy I get from engaging with other people. So I will keep on posting stuff and commenting on other people's posts despite the fear surrounding it. Because I want to grow, be happy and make friends.

I used to obsessively look at posts from others to get a reference and prevent myself from coming off as cringe/weird with my words and art.
I am slowly teaching myself to just hit “Post”. Because 9/10 times its just art with a description. And its annoying to overthink about something so small.

This one was a journey! I kept tweaking the composition, and that waterfall was definitely a challenge, haha. But I love being by the river — it’s my favorite place to rest. There’s something about the sound of the water that clears my head completely. Guess I’d better practice drawing it more! #art
