Oh wow, I was impressed because I had assumed it was never opening lol

I checked Facebook and it is unfortunately real 😕

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.
Twitter account: Uncensored @HmanQuotes1945: Official border patrol Facebook page is posting with the banned lyrics of Michael Jackson's song.
"Jew me sue me... Kick me k*ke me."
Epic

Yikes. Does that mean that LA might have more people than reported in the census?
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
Shouldn't they just approve?
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
I agree, but it probably results from various causes. Sometimes it might be that the residential density came first while business withered later, sometimes just poor planning.
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
What do you think a good solution would be?
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
Wow. Im guessing you meant 80% AMI btw?
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
My assumption is it has to be yes, but I feel like I read something saying that a certain percentage had to be housing.

I've been wondering, are offices still allowed in areas upzoned by SB 79?

Not to shitpost, but given the hotel room density around the Monorail, Disneyland probably already exceeds SB 79.

All cities should hire Disney planners. Yeah, the turnabouts may look like Mickey from above, but their design skills are peak. Let them cook in the Outer Sunset.

That last part escalated quickly...

Me pregunto si las otras partes de este mapa - por ejemplo, el Aeropuerto - antes eran inundables? Es posible construir canalizaciones y otras medidas anti indundos para hacerlo seguro para la construcción de vivienda?

The post-Cold War planning of Barcelona is such a disaster. I sat in on a university class in the center of the city today, and so many students were traveling from over 1 hour away. They desperately need more housing in the urban core and faster/more comprehensive transportation to outlying areas.

Yeah, people shouldn't have been mean to him at all. He sounds like an angel compared to what came after.

Apparently, some generations of Americans were *taught* to do this and *not taught* to read phonetically! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whole_l...

I think people don't understand that the quality of journalism is directly influenced by the quality of open information laws. Political journalists are as obsequious as they are because they literally can't do their job without access to privileged information like when a bill will be heard.

I don't understand why U.S. reporters so regularly seem to let politicians get away with 'I haven't seen that' about stuff a) they obviously know and b) is directly relevant to their job. Did they sign some kind of agreement never to ask a follow-up question?

REPORTER: We know the president moved forward with mass layoffs. We're also learning there were significant cuts to staff at special education services. Are you comfortable with those cuts?

MIKE JOHNSON: I haven't seen the specifics of that and I don't know

Seems that, alas! the "Agricultural Park of the Lower Llobregat" is unbuildable due to flood risk. So there goes the urban extension idea...
apuente.bsky.social
Hum, where i've seen this before? Oh yes, it's the flood risk areas map of Barcelona!
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
That would explain why nobody has built on it! :D

Were people mean to the Zappos guy? I remember hearing about him maybe 4 years ago, it sounded inspirational, and we were sad that he had died.
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
About 25 square kilometers by measuring on the map!
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
It would certainly be environmentally damaging. But I wonder if it's worth it to extend the city of Barcelona and help ameliorate their housing crisis.
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
Yeah that's my main worry. But I wonder if it's possible to do some mega-engineering against that, like in Los Angeles when they channeled the rivers?
hectorarbuckle.bsky.social
@4freedoms.es I made this post a few minutes ago and then saw that you just posted on the same topic 45m ago! 😅 but what do you think?
