Correction: this was sentencing submissions only. Not the actual sentence being handed down.

Why that would take four months not four days is a mystery to me.

UPDATE:

Today is the judge hearing arguments re sentencing. She will NOT be handing down a sentence today.

So:

1 Fatally strike a cyclist in March 2017. No consequences

2 Sexually solicit/assault an 11yo in 2020

3 Be found guilty of 7 charges (not rape) in June 2025

4 Still free in October

THE MAIN CASE - SHEGU BOBB

-he was found guilty in June on 7 counts of soliciting an 11-year-old girl 3 years after he killed UK cyclist Mike Hall
- the charge of digital rape was not proved beyond a reasonable doubt

Shegu Bobb is in court and will appear at 11:30 am for sentencing.

ACT Supreme Court

Case 1: Meth dealer from 2022 has a baby on the way who would suffer if he were jailed. He had a challenging upbringing so was sentenced to 3 years but will serve it in the community.

He was also caught driving his BMW unregistered so he got a $250 fine. “You are free to go.”

You know how lucky you are. You’re watching hockey practice while I’m about to attend a sentencing hearing in a ‘sexual assault of a minor’ case in Canberra. It’s odd when the criminals are the same people who got away scott-free after killing a cyclist with a car. Enjoy every minute of the hockey.

On my way to Canberra for tomorrow’s sentencing of Shegu Bobb who was found guilty 4 months ago of soliciting an 11-year-old girl in 2020 (he was 21).

1) What sentence will he get & what non-parole period?

2) Will he even show up? He has not been held in remand since the jury found him guilty.

So is ABC or any media going to show us or spk to any Palestinians who are miraculously still alive after 2yrs of daily bombings by Israel? Seems pretty one sided at the moment. Palestinians wrongly held captive by Israel are also being released today, barely a mention.
