12th mth into bootstrapping. @theblue.social is my 3rd product.

I have spent the longest time on it so far.

⏰ worked on it for full 9 mths
💰 +ve MRR after 4 mths, but not ramen profitable
💔 conversions stalled last mth
🛡️ DR 34. Growing slowly

Grind is real

Maybe it's because I don't make a strong effort to grow on Bluesky, I've been stuck at 2.2k followers for months. Losing followers almost as close as I gain new ones. 🤷
When everything is done, the CEO goes: "I have to ask for a discount otherwise I can't get past my CFO" 🤣
TIL. I've been using Namecheap for decades and interesting that Spaceship is owned/sister company of Namecheap.

How do you find them?
I'm up and running I think. 1 day turn around with positive outcome. They didn't send me a we-received-your-ticket-but-we-will-not-fix-it-for-30-days. Not bad, Zoho bsky.app/profile/did:...
Not the best way to start 😭
namecheap or cloudflare. Go!
Was waiting for 10 minutes and thought DNS hasn't propagate 🤷
One thing that I miss about Ruby from TypeScript is being able to end function names with a question mark.
Oh. Freelancing can be too easy (not always) and a trap.
Small quality of life improvements in the UI. Before vs after
Looks nice. Price is amazing. Thanks.
Yeah. Makes total sense.
Yeah. It still has potential, just not having the momentum I thought it had.
I started out doing Bluesky tools and then analytics. Added scheduled posting, so all-in on Bluesky. Then the growth (Bluesky and mine) stalled. It was quite natural to expand to other networks.
Not the best way to start 😭
Working as a developer with ~30 years experience has taught me 1 thing:

Indie is hard.
For me, it’s because I pivoted to it and didn’t know better.
Why are there so many social media schedulers out there? I mean sure, I'm constantly thinking "I would do this better" when using Fedica. But it's good enough to not waste months rolling my own. So what gives? Why is everyone doing one? #buildinpublic
Thanks! Will try it out.
