Every Democrat or never-Trump Republican who lives in a Congressional district with a Republican representative should call on the member to step up to the plate. They should either sign tje discharge petition, or pay a political price for not signing it.
Wouldn’t it be better great if just one Republican member with cojones stepped up to sign the discharge petition for a vote on the bill to release the Epstein files?

Any one of them could be a MAGA hero.
… are blocking release of the Epstein papers. Every member of Congress who hasn’t signed should feel intense heat from constituents. Mike Johnson is handing us an opportunity by not seating Grijalva. It’s time to take advantage of it.
… EVERY member of Congress who hasn’t signed the petition could be the 218th signer. So Indivisible members should all be contacting their House members or writing letters to the editor of their local paper calling on them to sign the discharge petition. Those who refuse to sign….
@ezralevin.bsky.social It’s great that Indivisible is focusing on Mike Johnson’s refusal to seat Adelita Grijalva to prevent her from being the 218th signature on the discharge petition for the Epstein bill. However, we’re missing an opportunity. The fact that only ONE vote is needed means that…

New satellite images show the scale of demolition that has occurred on the East Wing of the White House in less than a month.
“I won’t put it in - I promise.”
Good point - once the crimes you’ve committed on Trump’s behalf reach a threshold there is no turning back.
Imagine Putin’s delight.
NYT Confirms: Trump will DEMOLISH the ENTIRE East Wing of the White House.

The Times says the East Wing is expected to be fully torn down by the weekend to make room for Trump's ballroom for billionaires — despite the fact that Trump pledged the White House would not be touched.
Just a thought -- is it possible that Trump scans a paper copy of the NYT but generally doesn't see it online? I don't want to be overly suspicious here, but could this fawning headline is written for an audience of one?
This horrendous @nytimes.com won't be met with the level of fury from readers that it deserves, because the online version of the story has a headline that is much less offensive. Credit goes to @mediaanddemocracy.bsky.social for catching this.
The Urban Dictionary should add this photo to its definition of “shit eating grin.” Fox and Friends Sunday skips coverage of #NoKings for a puff interview of disgraced but recently pardoned former US congressman George Santos. Santos praises our Dear Leader’s wisdom - and he can’t believe his luck.
This guy at the #NoKings rally in Washington DC knows how to send a message -- i.e., get readers to do a little mental work to figure out the message: even "real guys" think that fighting authoritarianism is so important that they willingly skip the highlight of their week.
I ❤️ NY
ICE stepped up activities in NYC today and New Yorkers were not having it.

One “blessing” to the public of Trump having no conscience and no sense of right and wrong is that he’ll openly announces his most corrupt actions. No need for a Woodward and Bernstein to dig up the scandal when Trump boasts about it on national TV.
The fact that he demands payment is outrageous enough, but even more shocking is that he sees the U.S. Treasury as his.
Trump: "It's awfully strange to make a decision where I'm paying myself. But I was damaged very greatly and any money I would get I would give to charity."
Trump is incompetent in many ways. But he is a world-class expert at ripping off people, including American taxpayers, and getting away with it.

Trump took a wrecking ball to the White House, just as he has done to the U.S. government.
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

A perfect metaphor for what he is doing to the country.

The editorial decision to put a huge photo and story about Charlie Kirk’s memorial last month above the fold on page one, while today burying a weak story on the largest US political protest in more than a half century is disgraceful. Heads should roll at the New York Times.
They will be judged very harshly in the future, when it becomes obvious that they censored a huge story and therefore accelerated the slide toward autocracy.
Great piece, but sadly the Philadelphia Inquirer buried coverage of #NoKings on page 4. The protests will be much less effective if the press fails in this way.
