NorCal woman. I'm into pith. Rule of law? Sounds like a good dream, at this point.

Funny how when the people are going around on planes and on boats and on trains screaming and shouting “jai Shri Ram” it’s not a crime in India and doesn’t come with extrajudicial smashing and bulldozing of property in India but “I love Muhammad” does. Welcome to the hypocrisy of a fascist regime.

A dictatorship in the hands of socio- and psychopaths.

But maybe that's part of the definition of "dictator"...

the US has both running the Project 2025 Government.

When Putin made it quite clear that it was a mafia authoritarian takeover, elites who had been looking forward to some democracy made the decision to go along rather than fight. Elites could have fought. They sank to their basest level instead. Those who left could not go along with the criminality

But they don't have an easy life most of them. I think it's a little too reductive. It's more like they're so despairing of ever having a good life that they're only pleasures are brutalizing other people. The poor do it their way, the elites do it their way. Much has been written about all this. 🔽

Right! Fellas try to donate to Ukraine's support and we wouldn't have to do that if Russia hadn't invaded. That's a voluntary tax!

People who vote for this guy should be exiled to Mariupol

Yeah, they can't get him out any other way because they can't have an election due to martial law.
So once he's out some loyalist to Zelenskiyy and Ukraine will appoint a new mayor

4/5 The US has considered sanctioning him.

Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies have tried to prosecute him. But he always survived.

Losing his citizenship could finally remove him from power
harryanna.bsky.social
So the last election was before the war started. I wonder if he would be voted in one more time right now? It seems less likely

3/5 He’s also been accused of blocking military aid, delaying defense spending, and making pro-Russian statements.

While Odesa was under threat, he did little to help.

For years, he treated the city like his personal empire

1/5 Zelensky has just revoked the citizenship of Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The reason? He allegedly holds a Russian passport.

If confirmed, this could finally bring an end to the reign of one of Ukraine’s most corrupt and controversial leaders

2/5 Trukhanov has ruled Odesa since 2014.

He’s been linked to organized crime, smuggling networks, and major corruption cases.

He was arrested in 2023 for embezzling $2.5 million in a fake real estate deal. The case is still dragging on

I'm still going! And Ukraine is still free.
Day 1329 and we all do our bit to stop Russia's imperialism and worse, genocide of Ukraine, its people and culture.

Reporting, sharing, making people care who didn't before, holding politicians to account. It's all so important.
