As you've noted:

it's not just the low approval, but the high disapproval numbers. People are not on the fence, they disapprove. And strongly.

The approval numbers are just, "which team are you on?" And the "strongly approve" numbers are pathetically low. If that's not sour, I don't know what is.

Maybe.

His previous health release did NOT include urine test results. All the other test results were in the normal range. Protein in the urine would suggest nephrotic syndrome, and his released Walter Reed results didn't address kidney function.

Many, many years ago, as a little kid, I visited my state legislature.

I watched a short portion of the floor action. I remember one representative asking for permission to read a poem — and getting it.

The post-political-career lobbying pipeline enforces compliance. I'd track that back to Tom DeLay, at least, who famously demanded Republicans get special treatment in lobbying jobs.
