TL/DR: IMO, if your console has an HDMI output, it’s not retro. It may be outdated, but not retro.

Nope. Cause I stand on retro being a style and feel, not a timestamp. I’ll never consider Call of Duty Modern Warfare retro. Outdated, yes. Retro, no.

IMO I can’t stand when people use a timestamp as retro cause often it’s used as an act of authority on the matter or to gatekeep (not you).

I also realized one of the batteries was different from the other two and that's the one that damaged it. I believe it's the same batteries that the store I got it from probably used to test it, and I never changed them, cause the brand was unfamiliar.

Still my fault, but gg Game Over. 🙃

One of the battery springs completely broke off when I took the corroded battery out, though. If it can be saved, awesome, though I have no idea how to do that.

PSA to All: Please don’t forget to take batteries out of devices you’re not using for long periods! This Rock Band 3 Pro Fender Mustang Guitar controller is dead now cause the battery terminal rusted and broke off.

Welp, there goes $100. And 2025 rolls on. 😔
