Like, what can I extrapolate from just a few lines of characterization? It’s a challenge that’s pushing me to noodle over characters and dynamics I otherwise might just overlook, and try new things.

I dunno, they’re not CRUCIAL in the same way that a microwave or a dishwasher aren’t crucial, but I find they significantly improve my ability to keep the kitchen from getting funky. This is partly a “I hate the kitchen” thing and every little bit of help to make it less gross is important.
