but i think it's fine to reconcile it by saying 'oh, this is how alastor saw it, vox was weak and pathetic to him'. or 'oh alastor is exaggerating to get a rise out of vox.'

so i think it's reasonable to assume some if the woobie vox could be exaggerated by alastor for the rage/humiliation effect. al might also actually remember it this way, like this is how he viewed vox's weakness at the time.

i think alastor was telling this story hoping to really rile vox up so vox would forget about asking "why do you have so much power" and "where were you for 7 years" etc. and to also humiliate vox in front of val.
