New SkySat imagery from Planet Labs over northern Gaza from Dec 5 shows extensive damage to the Beit Lahia Cemetery after the IDF cleared two paths through the middle of it.

🧵 I have a cemetery destruction thread on Twitter that I'll re-post to Bluesky for tracking purposes.

With no reporters able to ask questions, it seems the Pentagon leadership will rely on slick social media posts, carefully orchestrated short videos and interviews with partisan commentators and podcasters.

Looks like the berms are mostly intact but October 11 SkySat shows the now-empty Netzarim GHF site. The vehicles of folks who I'm guessing are returning north along Salah al-Deen Road are also visible.
A Planet Labs SkySat image from October 7 2025 showing the Salah al-Deen Road crossing of the Wadi Gaza in north-central Gaza Strip. The area is heavily destroyed from previous IDF activity.
The "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" aid distribution site is visible. It is a large square area built by the IDF. The white ground indicates its covered by gravel. The square is surrounded by dirt berms and inside the square are two sets up barriers at right angles. The now abandoned "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" aid distribution site is visible. There appear to be tracks visible in the area and a large amount of civilian vehicles from Salah al-Deen Road are visible nearby.

Much of Gaza's WASH infrastructure has been either damaged or destroyed. Closer to the border, the Khan Yunis Waste Water Treatment Plant and nearby landfill were both damaged last year, as seen in 2024 @planet.com imagery: bsky.app/profile/godi...

SkySat imagery from Planet Labs shows the current state of the Khan Yunis Waste Waterwater Treatment Plant and neighboring Al-Fukhari (Sofa) Landfill in southern Gaza.

The WWTP solar farm and the landfill's leachate ponds & admin building were both destroyed by the IDF in March.

Reporting from @dropsitenews.com's Younis Tirawi found photos of IDF soldiers celebrating in front of the Waste Water Treatment Plant fire before withdrawing: www.dropsitenews.com/p/israel-idf...

The director of Gaza's water utility told Drop Site the fire could setback reconstruction by years.

Among the structures Drop Site discovered had been set on fire by the departing soldiers was the Sheikh Ajlin Sewage Treatment Station, a central component of Gaza City’s sanitation network. Monther Shoblaq, Director General of the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU) in Gaza, said the attack is a blow that could push Gaza City’s wastewater system “to point zero.” He added the plant is “one of Gaza’s oldest” and warned that its destruction will set back planned reconstruction efforts by years. “I mean, they signed a ceasefire,” Shoblaq said. “Why set it on fire?”

October 11 SkySat imagery from @planet.com shows a column of smoke rising from the Sheikh Ejleen Waste Water Treatment Plant after the IDF withdrew from the base they established at the plant.

SkySat imagery from October 7 shows IDF vehicles and temporary structures set up inside the plant.

There is a large amount of destruction around the plant and near the plant grounds as well as in the plant itself there are IDF vehicles and temporary structures. This two-parter below is exactly why it's hard to make clothes in the United States.

Let's look at how much it costs to produce a button-up shirt in the US. 🧵
Someone on Twitter replies to me: "meh. buy american or stfu."

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."

Should note that some of the mound was already paved pre-war — though the area was mostly orchards. There was also a café on top that people frequented, as pointed out by @michaeldpress.bsky.social and SkyNews: bsky.app/profile/mich...

Two years later, there's been an immense amount of destruction.
An October 8 2023 SkySat satellite image from Planet Labs showing part of Gaza City's Shejaiya neighborhood where the archeological mound Tell Ali Muntar is located. There are large orchards visible and a cafe and building with solar panels visible on part of the hill. All of the orchards and buildings have been destroyed except the solar panel building, which has been incorporated into a now-paved IDF outpost on top of the hill surrounded by extensive earthworks.

After conducting extensive earthworks on top of the archeological mound Tell Ali Muntar, it appears in more recent @planet.com SkySat imagery from October 7 that the IDF has since paved the top of the mound.

The visible black area is similar to what we've seen when pavement has been used elsewhere.

Latest PlanetScope capture over Netzarim was around noon, so not sure if it'd started getting dismantled by then. This is what it looks like compared with the October 4 PlanetScope.

Possible we'll see them destroy the berms around the site like the last time they withdrew from most of the corridor.
PlanetScope image taken by Planet Labs on October 4 2025 showing the "Netzarim Corridor" near Wadi Gaza where the IDF created one of the Gaza Humanitarian Fund sites. There is a large amount of destruction in the image with very few buildings still standing. The GHF site is a large square area surrounded by berms and with white gravel. This will be visible in @planet.com imagery (PlanetScope or SkySat) once it starts happening. So far, no major changes at the southern sites when comparing October 4 and October 10 SkySat but will keep an eye on it.

2/ despite how the Trump administration frames it, many in the Forum's shared community and others will see this as a very dangerous step that makes it easier to export assault weapons, undoes Congressional notification, and requirements that could provide much greater protections from misuse.

A lot going on here, but a religion note: DHS Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin refers to Rev. Black as a "pastor" here — using quotation marks.

It's a notable slight against a faith leader's status, as Black is, in fact, an ordained minister of a church operating within the Presbytery of Chicago.
This footage is from almost a month ago. What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations.

Over and over again, law enforcement ordered these agitators to move off of federal property so the vehicle could move. Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply.

Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles and launching fireworks at the law enforcement officers on the roof.

At the time of this incident, this facility held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. If you are obstructing law enforcement you can expect to be met with force.

And, as an aside, this is the same “pastor” who flipped
@Sec_Noem
and our team the bird when we were there last week.
