K reached out and found that incredible home in Colorado at the ranch of longtime friend, @ponyco.bsky.social. An incredible woman, once a exercise rider for race horses. Now a dedicated horse woman and confidante.

In August, the incredible people at Alvey Racing in Utah put him up for sale on the Dreamhorse site. In a search, MarrkeeJ found
him under the mgmt of @crystalharrison76.bsky.social
Alvey Racing wanted him to go to a good home.

Big Vanilla ran for awhile unsuccessfully, then after February of this year went off the radar. We couldn't track him anymore. But we remained hopeful that he'd pop up.

Years ago, we trailed the stories of Pie and DV's foals. Triple E, Rancho Red & Big Vanilla. Thanks to the work of
@crystalharrison76.bsky.social who was tenacious and heartfelt, we found out Triple E is now a trail horse in Oregon and Rancho Red helps kids at a stable. But what of Big Vanilla?

Reminds me of a scene in the book about Snowman, the $80 champion. Harry wanted to school Snowman over some cavalettis, and Snowman saw none of it. Then Snowman was casually jumping the corral fence to go cruising. Different disciplines, but similar mindsets.

Stretches and massage help improve Hackleton's shivers, which is a nerve disorder that shows up in times of stress or strong athletic work. We treat it as his normal and he's become much more comfortable working within it.
