These days, a key competence is the ability to critically evaluate ChatGPT outputs. I used this image of a bird's-foot delta generated by ChatGPT to assess students' understanding of the different types of delta. The ChatGPT drawing contains obvious errors, but also a major pitfall. Can you spot it?

#Geology #Educators: Here's a great example of #RelativeDating from a rockfall deposit near Flüelapass, Davos, Switzerland. I spotted this rockfall deposit two weeks ago (Nov 10th), and the rockfall must have happened sometimes after the first major snowfall at the beginning of October 2024.
