Cruel, inhumane, and pointless.

I used to use those little treats they use to train guide dogs.

I mean the dog still did whatever it wanted but only because I’m a lousy trainer who just wants to play.

I’m not watching as I don’t want to give them traffic.

But if they turned up anyway and tried to film when they’d already been told “no” then they’re liable for both trespass (unjustifiable interference) and harassment.

To be fair if I owned a shop I wouldn’t want people filming in there either.

Taking a couple of pics is fine, but disrupting my store and getting in the way of my business, when you’re not even a regular customer just to provide your channel with content.

There’s not really much upside.

At least with Patreon it’s a platform that takes a percentage of earnings, as opposed to a platform that decides how much they’re willing to pay out.

People think convenience is a benefit, but it’s not, it’s just the lie they used to sell us a broken model, as consumers it robbed us of both ownership, and anticipation, I don’t want a subscription model, the entire value for me is in the ownership of a product produced by artists.

There's an AWS outage this morning impacting lots of services; it started around 07.30 UK time. People who use services like Alexa as their alarm clocks have just had a helpful reminder that using a device reliant on connectivity to carry out a task that doesn't need connectivity is not a good idea.

A Tel Aviv derby football match was cancelled yesterday between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv after riots broke out, with police citing risk to human life.

Nine people were arrested and a further 16 detained for questioning.

A Tel Aviv derby football match has been cancelled this evening (19 October) just minutes before kick off.

Israeli sides Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv were set to face off in a huge derby match in the Bloomfield Stadium, the home ground shared by the two teams.

The match was cancelled after riots at the stadium due to safety concerns for both the players and fans.

In a statement Israeli police said the game was called off “following disturbances and risks to human life”, Sky News reports.

The force said dozens of smoke grenades and pyrotechnic devices were thrown at the stadium, which injured 12 civilians and three police officers.

Police said officers arrested nine suspects and detained 16 others for questioning.
