Created an account over here as it feels like this is where most the trans activisty stuff is going on.
For anyone who recognises from my twitter days I've also got an account over on Mastodon where most my less serious stuff is posted!

'I don't see how we are [not] women [by] that definition' yes that was what I mean't.
geekylou.bsky.social
Trans women are super available for exploitation so I don't see how we are women and that definition.
geekylou.bsky.social
Yep, they bully us like they do other women too. Notice how they do the same thing to people like Imane Khelif as well.

they're too cowardly to admit to it but transphobes don't actually see trans women as men, but as trannies
geekylou.bsky.social
It makes me physically ill whenever I see something where they misgender Imane Khelif.

They were also very firm about us being our lived gender 'for all purposes' and not forced to be one gender for some stuff and another for other stuff.
geekylou.bsky.social
I thought the original judgement said that we must be recognised as our lived gender by the gov so even case by case exceptions are on shacky ground and the gov got away with a lot of stuff it probably shouldn't of (like the medical requirements for GRCs).
geekylou.bsky.social
I might be wrong but it feels far further ranging then that.

Will 100% be abortion and contraception access. That's why they attacked trans people's bodily autonomy. The exact same arguments against puberty blockers are being used against everything from contraceptive to paracetamol in the US.
geekylou.bsky.social
You also have self-ID for trans people, your government isn't talking about leaving the ECHR and you don't have the possibility of a far right government getting in at the next election. If we had a government and political institutions that people trusted it wouldn't be such an issue.
geekylou.bsky.social
It will only get worse as they feed on their own AI slop for data.

The thing that gets me is men who don't bother closing the door. There definitely needs to be an education campaign on using gender neutral toilets.

So why are they getting advice on how to treat trans people from Mumsnet

watching the UKs green party elect an actual unafraid leftist into leadership and see party membership double in under a month is once again endless proof that if you stand up for leftist causes and treat the electorate like adults, you’ll win people over easily
geekylou.bsky.social
It's not even that hard. I think I'm the first trans woman one of my work colleagues knows and she's stil said fuck JKR without needing to be told.

Wonders if they were routing for Sauron.
geekylou.bsky.social
Maybe they shouldn't of treated their base like shit.

Quite a bloody cheek, this, given the UK has the most hostile regime towards healthcare for young trans people and their families in the world (www.gov.uk/government/s...).
geekylou.bsky.social
The same in the UK. We voted for change and we just got a party that was slightly better at being evil to minorities.

I wonder how much TERFism is TERFs who found their husbands watching trans porn.
geekylou.bsky.social
Exactly. In other words she's scared we might fight back after all the abuse from people like her.

people who want other people to stay in sad little grey boxes forever and never be happy in their bodies or desires are villains and cowards and they may be winning right now but by god they will lose as water smooths stone and roots break it, because that fierce joy is roots and water and life
geekylou.bsky.social
Considering the circumstances trans people have been shockingly peaceful.

Same this looks exactly like my thing.
