This is Katie Lam, Conservative leadership hopeful, just casually talking about deporting anyone who she doesn’t believe is ‘culturally coherent’ in the Times this weekend. This puts her to the right of Enoch Powell. And there’s been silence in media on these comments.

Much like Jenrick, Lam has been accused of shifting with the prevailing winds on issues of identity and immigration. She certainly shares his unsentimental toughness on the subject.
"Everybody who's in this country illegally I think needs to go home," she says. Indefinite leave to remain is off the table, too. "There are also a large number of people in this country who came here legally, but in effect shouldn't have been able to do so. It's not the fault of the individuals who came here, they just shouldn't have been able to do so. They will also need to go home. What that will leave is a mostly but not entirely culturally coherent group of people’.

Despite this desperate pivot last week, the Reform leader still claims the EU and Nato share blame for sparking Russia's atrocities and war crimes in Ukraine. Yet unlike almost all conflicts, this really is a simple issue and Kyiv's brave fight for freedom is one of striking moral clarity.
Far from deserving plaudits as the only person who "got it right" over Ukraine, Farage exposes only shifty duplicity - along with his disturbing espousal of Russian propaganda and his total unfitness to lead our country in such turbulent times when democracy is under global assault from dictatorship.

When I heard about the conditions these penguins are kept in, from the Daily Express, a couple of years ago, I was shocked. It's unbelievable actually. I think if we need to boycott Merlin to make them change what they do, we should do that.
