it's probably not going to be able to remove them completely, but it's certainly cut down on them a LOT for me, and that includes entirely removing AI imagery of the Tannies 💜

Very late (!!) #WIP Wednesday snippet of that fic that won't come out for a while 🤡

The clock face shows 2:13. Jimin cleans the chef's table and throws leftovers into the overflowing trash before washing some bowls and spatulas. The kink in his neck has come to stay and triggers a chill down his spine whenever he moves a certain way. He ties up the black plastic bag, pulls out the trash from the bin, and replaces it with another bag. Then he takes out the garbage to the alley dumpster at the back.
The night is pure tar except for the light that turns on when he opens the door outside. Seoul is silent, but Jimin reminds himself that the city ought to sleep at two in the morning. The pressure is there, on his ears, but its reach is wider, like he’s deep in an ocean, not a lake.
Jimin takes the three or four steps to the dumpster, noticing, by the time his fingers touch the lid, that his breathing is ragged. He opens the lid, swings the garbage bag inside, and closes it.
Okay. His pulse is jumping a bit. The clock face flashes in his mind’s eye, and he almost chuckles to himself. Yes, the witching hour. Who never got a little spooked when they had to pee at 2 a.m.?
Something rustles across the alley behind him, and Jimin snaps around. With the movement, his neck pops, and acute pain cracks down his spine like lightning. He squints, but the darkness makes

it impossible to register movement, though nothing rustles or crawls again. It’s probably a rat, and if that’s the case, he better go back inside before any make it into the kitchen.
Jimin’s eyes have almost left the alley when a loud click behind him is followed by a burst, compounding his pool of light. He shudders before his neck has a chance to turn and crack, gasping aloud as he twists and rakes his eyes over every inch the light illuminates. It's empty. It's terribly, horribly empty.
He doesn't know how long he stays there, panting, his body thrumming as if he's racing in his spot. It must be minutes at least, until the other light turns off on its own. Now he's alone in his original circle of light, but it feels like a spotlight. It feels less like a haven than a visible target, and he shuffles backwards towards the door, his eyes not leaving the edges where the yellow glow meets pitch black for a second.
His ankles climb the step to the kitchen, and then he reaches out to the knob. Jimin pulls it closed and locks it. Just in case.
The clock reads 2:34, and he scoffs, his cheeks burning. He will never, ever admit to a living soul that he took 10 minutes to take out the trash.
“Rewind, Jimin-ie,” he says, doing the same ritual as earlier when he shook his arms and shoulders loose—the kink in his neck getting a bit in the way. “Still lots to do. Fighting!”

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
