Forget the pregnancy, abort the man. He would not survive a conversation with me. He would not. And by the time I finished talking, I would sleep the sleep of the just knowing I wrecked this man's self image, future, and credit score. The idea that he is a real person really out there is heating me.

The worst part is: The Luddites were right historically. Their opponents, the cotton gin operators, worked hard to propagandize that they were against all technology but the workers of Ludd were just protesting for slower adoption to allow time for investigation, retraining, and job searches.

Ironic you say that. Almost immediately after this the villain does basically say that: "So I take it you want no part in the feast to follow? To answer the first question: Depends on what you mean. Yes, the methods to detect pancreatic cancer are effective. No, because pancreatic cancer develops fast, metastasizes to affect other organs easily, and many of the early signs are easily explained away by other things which delays detection.

The way I would be making up scary surcharges. "Mm, so we process only rush orders on Sundays, and that unfortunately comes with a 400% increase in cost. Yes, it's expensive but unfortunately part of it is in the difficulties with sourcing and part is to cover partner agreement terms. So sorry."🤣
