Morning all, off to garden in Upton Magna today. I know that Amanita fungi are in many cases poisonous but this Amanita muscaria is beautiful (it causes sickness as well as hallucinations) This one is from Mortimer Forest South of Ludlow.

A red cap fungi with white spots and shiny cap in the grass underneath birch trees. The stem is almost pure white and at the base it looks wider. It is a classic mushroom for fairy illustrations

These bug houses came from Halesworth men's shed, who are currently in the I-Chameleon pop-up shop in town. I love em! 😊

I put them up today, now I wait for some occupants, hopefully, lots of 🐞 as I have quite a lot of them in my front and back garden, especially on the conifers.

Cure your onions for a couple of weeks until the necks are papery & dry, but aim to braid them while the long green tops are still flexible. If you let the tops get completely brittle, they will snap as you weave them. You need them dry, but still pliable, for a strong, lasting braid. #onions
