No, actually! To me it just tasted like little fried crispy things with cinnamon sugar. (Thinks) no pumpkin spice-ness to it. It really reminded me of Mexican buñelos lol

I'm at work now and we sell these, so lemme check the ingredients if you haven't already! lol

They tout a lot of dietary friendliness but didn't see about dairy but I'm sure there's a dairy-free recipe for some variant of buñelos! Mexican-style are crispy things but most, incl og Spanish are donuts

I knew buñelos originally came from Spain! I haven't tried one yet. Mexican-style is a flat, crispy thing instead 😆 Iirc, the difference between a classic buñelo and a churro is, with a churro, it's the way the batter gets added to the oil. Churros have their shape bc its squeezed out of a tube

These "churro strips" remind me of buñelos (Mexican-style) instead lol BUT I can see why the wouldn't just call them that and alienate the diverse audience they wanna reach out to. I getcha

I love buñelos, though. It's satisfying a childhood comfort here

Again, this is the publicly known stuff. Ambiguous coincidences, solo posts where it feels the other is with them (ex. burger, walks, a certain 4-day vacation) aren't counted in these. Or even the old "meet up for sushi once a month." They never shared those every single time but they confirmed lol

24 publicly known dates...and, if I did my math correctly, they have done 10 of these for 2 years straight. If they share more times with us before year-end, they will officially have gone on these dates the most since they started hanging out in late 2022
