Capitalism cannot be trusted to not blow itself to pieces with alarming regularity. The only feedback mechanism that regulates individuals' behaviour is whether they make profit in the extremely short term. It's a fundamentally psychopathic system that will always result in herd-mentality chaos.

There was a critically important opportunity to fundamentally regulate the press, break up the right-wing monopoly of the barons, and bring some sanity back to public debate. Had Jeremy Corbyn won the premiership, he would have forced through Leveson II.

Corbyn was your best chance at any of it.

I think we can (and should) continue to express surprise, disgust and expectations of higher standards from the press barons, govt, etc. If we get used to saying 'well that's just how it is', it's easy to accept the inertia. We should stay angry and demand more, always.

You seem to be displaying a simplistic, even childlike understanding of the topic. There was no one Zionism. Eg - labour Zionism sought to create a secular socialist state in the Levant. Herzlian right-wing Zionism was explicitly concerned with white supremacist race war.

It's perfectly possible to criticise the specific crimes of the Israeli state in a non-antisemitic manner.

Its also possible to criticise yhe crimes of Israel in an actively antisemitic manner, using rebranded far-right neo-Nazi / conspiracy theory shit.
