Narrator's update: His gods forgave him

My update: Hey! I found my real father!

Meanwhile, Paul has been preparing for Halloween!

People who think they are "bushcraft" and "manly men" setting ground fires and posting themselves on social media, utterly clueless

"I'm not even going to justify that question with a lie" for the win

No newts, no, though two small frogs that we disturbed. We have to work slowly and carefully, eyeing every inch of ground we're about to shift and examin every rock for eggs. Now that we re-built their shallow pool, the newts will come back. Families with children may return and see newts safely now

:) It is! This canyon trail is well-loved because the creek runs through it, and there are micro environments and species that are rare in the San Gabriels. My son and I began restoration 4 years ago, the trail was gone (and newts were safe) because of poison oak and no maintenance. Safe no more! :)

:) You should have seen me trying to get my clothes off quickly while trying to get behind the large pine tree at the trailhead so the women wouldn't see my tight white ass :) Hopping up and down on one leg, shouldering off the shirt and the pants belt buckle while yelling "arrgh!" :) Bloody hell

Hornets! I got stung a dozen times, jumped around screaming like a girl trying to get my shirt and belt off! We are removing bush across from Coulter Pine Trail trailhead and I disturbed black and yellow hornets. All of this work is to increase the parking area for the Amphitheater and Coulter Pine

Troop 730 Diamond Bar, CA turned out today at the Dalton Wilderness Park to fill in erosion at the Coulter Pine Trail trailhead! Check out the erosion which causes problems with people's car tires and reduced parking, then check the last 2 photos showing their awesome work!

Twitter Guy: You're a hairless faggot!
Me: Half of that is wrong
Guy: Which half
Me: Undress me and find out
Guy: YOU'RE A FAGGOT!

I can't even begin to guess who Jon might be thinking of, Paul. Nobody springs instantly to mind

Ha! The last time Jesus tried to enter my heart, he collapsed and when EMT showed, he was pronounced DRT -- Dead Right There. 'Course he was back three days later not having learned his lesson!

:) I went ahead without the other volunteers and got an hour worth of solid tread work done, then I let them do the newt habitat restoration work while I fucked off and relaxed, LOL

Well mostly :)

When goblins, ghouls, and demons try to fuck with me, boy howdy, do they ever fucking regret it, ha ha ha!

You reminded me to subscribe to MAD Magazine again, I let my subscription lapse. 6 issues for $20 -- cheap! LOL

What a coincidence! :) This morning's volunteer work in the forest we had two frogs we disturbed -- two that we noticed. We rarely see frogs though we are careful. I also have 4 issues of MAD Magazine that I have yet to read, though 80% of the material is from decades ago.

Tread work done up Pavil Canyon Trail with focus on the approaches to the narrow rock ledge and the tread all the way to the water rock climb and restored newt habitat. The creek needs protection from our work so dirt gets tossed South :) over the creek

Newt habitat restoration Pavil Canyon Trail. Years of wood & soil accumulation at the base of the rock and pushing out the newt population, the volunteers removed the wood, excavated the dirt to restore the shallow pool, and re-created the hiking trail away from the water so newts won't get crushed
