What a special afternoon celebrating the dedication of Maryland's first kosher winery, Loew Vineyards! Congrats to the Loew family on their Chanukat HaYekev! Rabbi Hersh blessed handmade mezuzahs and guests enjoyed a taste of the 2025 Barbera Nouveau, the first kosher wine produced in Maryland.

I joined Judge Joanie Raymond Brubaker for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Frederick County’s Truancy Reduction Court! This program is dedicated to improving school attendance by working with students and families to identify the root causes of truancy and providing resources for success.

Sabrina from the County Executive's Office and Paul from the Frederick County Division of Solid Waste and Recycling recently toured the Compost Crew's "Compost Outpost," where food scraps from around Frederick are processed by Kristie and Devin. Composting keeps these items out of landfills!

I shared 3 key policy announcements: First, Frederick County is advancing the development of a seven-acre site adjacent to the Prospect Center on Himes Avenue, which will provide nearly 150 affordable and deeply affordable homes near the County’s future hub for health, aging, and family services.
