Guantanamo Bay was the beginning of the end of the rule of law - these murders are the consequences & it will only get worse as international law crumbles

That's that, to Candace Owens from the High Court.
"You have never been a member of (the people) of Australia."
"Australia’s freedoms applied to Australian citizens and residents."

Appalling. Record number of indigenous deaths in custody.
Here's some perspective.
In 2023-24, 108 people died in custody in Australia.
24 were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander...that's 23%!
Only 3.8% of Australians are indigenous.

The only justification for this backdown, is it was burning political capital for "little" financial gain.
Labor should throw that political capital at a broader wealth tax
and inheritance tax.

Shame and harm at every JobSeeker turn – and now added AI slop
The system is so convoluted and stacked against people that even if it worked as intended, it would still be not just harmful, but useless.

It might be unconscious bias, but it does feel like they're overplayed a bit. Agree you need to cover what's going on with them, but it feels at times that, if let's say Hastie farted, there'd be a write up on it.

Bit over a quarter, per the current first preference support polling consensus. (Much less than a quarter, if restrict that to just the Liberal Party.)

The remarkable ramp-up in support for One Nation continues.

(Few seem to be explicitly polling Palmer. This assigns an arbitrary 2% support to the 'Trumpet' party based on the 2025 election result.)

Accept that but they don’t have to be the lead story do they?

Journalists should stop interviewing liars. Since liars lie all the time, what new information are we really learning by interviewing them? You’re only platforming their lies.
