I have litmus test issues for anyone I vote for. If they don't pass, they don't get my vote. The criteria is pretty basic, too.

Civil equality of trans/LGBTQ people
Civil rights of immigrants
Civil equality of minorities
Reproductive healthcare & body autonomy
Must be proud to fight fascism

The Founders were wealthy, white, privileged, company (and often slave) owning men.

They knew exactly what they were doing. They assumed they'd always be in power, and that they as a group would always maintain at least a visage/facade of propriety for the unwashed masses.

Those are all feds. Where are the local cops, the ones paid to protect the locals? Where are the state police?

People need to start asking their local and state officials why their cops aren't protecting them. Yes, I know the answer. It needs to be said out loud by civic leaders to wake people up.
