Bad Mojo's sparse writing is wack, but its execution of a disempowering and hostile environment you must navigate is fantastic. Walking across a cork board of pinned butterflies as a cockroach, paranoid that something may happen to me, is embedded on my transsexual brain.

Ruiner is incredibly mean and makes winning feel greasy, and I respect that way more than most "cyberpunk" games. Mashing an even more derealized Raiden into a kill-die-repeat isometric hack-and-slash is genius.

While I'm at it: Dishonored 1 and 2 play fantastically, and the design work is unparalleled. It's great to see Viktor Antinov's design work with muscle behind it without the bad politics of Half-Life 2. Death of the Outsider blows them both out of the water by giving you an actual role and writing.

I quit bad games pretty early, so I'd have to say Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Fantastic design work. Incredibly slick stealth/cover-shooter mechanics. Very fun to play. Absolutely infuriating writing and structuring that clash dreadfully with everything you're trying to do.

CBP changes procedures for airline passengers with “X” passports – Papers, Please!

CBP regulations require would-be airline passengers to identify as “M” or F”. These regulations were never changed, even when CBP was accepting “X” gender markers.

Here's the technical reason: The U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), which airlines are required to use for check-in, will no longer accept "X" as a gender code. It will now only process "M" or "F". (2/9)

I think that writing sex is a technical skill that pseudo-progressives ghettoize as "low" as a deliberate control mechanism. Also: most UFO writing at a critical juncture eas downstream from someone putting the MK-ULTRA stock in the punch bowl at the 4th International.
