Sometimes I ask myself how things can still be bad for LGBT characters in my OC lore even after the U.S. president was openly a transgender woman. And then I remember that the nine prominent countries in the world-- including Ireland and France-- have LGBT leaders and that didn't stop homophobia.

I'm tempted to write a plotline in my lore where my OC Phil time travels to the past so that he can meet historical figures or something just so I can make a joke that this makes him Phil of the Future... but time travel doesn't exist in my lore, so FUCK!

This is better because the books make it clear that three things make magic easier: eye contact with the target, using a wand, and saying a spell out loud. Book!Dumbledore ignored one rule and didn't say a spell out loud. Movie!Dumbledore ignored all fucking THREE. THAT'S how powerful he is.

In the book, when young Riddle tells Dumbledore to prove he's a wizard, Dumbledore turns towards a wardrobe, flicks his wand at it and lights it on fire. In the movie, he doesn't even look at it or use a wand: he just sits there looking at Tom and then BOOM. It's on fire.
