Oh wow. In case you don't know, Soviet birth certificates and identity papers had to list your ethnicity in a "nationality" category. "Kazakh" "Turkman" "Jew" "Armenian" etcetera. In Soviet times, it was used to discriminate against ethnicities by Soviet institutions requiring ID and having quotas.

The Russian National Automobile Union is proposing a price cap on gasoline calculated at the price of gasoline at the end of 2024 plus inflation. The immediate problem is that this will kill independent gas stations.
