The views from Ben Lomond were amazing today. Brocken spectres and fog bows too.
For one lucky lady it was her first Munro - what a way to start.
View of the Cobbler from Ben Lomond, over a sea of clouds. The view north east from Ben Lomond with peaks rising above the clouds A brocken spectre.

If only, I am struggling too!😊
We were lucky enough to be up Ben Lomond today and it was the best inversion I have ever seen. Pictures to follow later.

Interesting - that sounds more useful.

Although to be fair, the first thing people said when they picked up their phone to answer a call was to recite their own number.

with the official IUCN listing for the slender-billed curlew now being Extinct here is the rather sad piece I wrote about what went into this decision

I tried to include everything we know about their behaviour and biology, which is tragically little 🪶🧪

Great tips.
I have just put out my hedgehog house, so they can ignore it for another winter.
Happily they have a big brambly patch nearby that they clearly prefer.

Sounds a great idea.
As a kid I loved coming to Glasgow Kelvingrove museum. I always saw the Tyrannosaurus Rex 😊.
They now have trails for kids prodglportalv2.azureedge.net/media/4012/k... and you can use your phone to see the story behind the exhibits
