Just watched a juvenile coyote wandering in a field next door. Jaunty walk, looked about for prey or friends, flushed out birds. At noon. Only juvenile, desperate, or sick coyotes, are usually out during the day here.

let's start with people masking when they are sniffling and sputtering and coughing into the shared air and take it from there, because a lot of y'all won't even have the bare minimum manners needed to live in a society.

Pre Covid I lost some of my ability to taste. When it became a symptom, how would I tell the difference. I finally caught Covid despite getting all the boosters, but it was mild. Sometime later my taste returned. Hmmm. Then it went away. Human bodies are weird.

Today I am very much enjoying the range of sea creatures depicted in the 1539 Carta Marina (the "Marine map and description of the Northern lands"). We know now that the ocean has even more wonderful things in it (that really exist!), but I love the brave attempt at making a then-unknown world real.

I provided paper copies earlier this year because they don’t request records themselves. First time I’ve run into this since being diagnosed with #invasivelobularcarcinoma #breastcancer. MyChart and 3 other platforms do not play together. Exhausting and frustrating.

First appointment with my new breast surgeon today. I got a call yesterday from her office asking for more previous test results from other providers. This practice is not on #MyChart and sharing diagnostic mammography, surgery, radiation, and post surgery/radiation is awful.

I meet my new SO. Her NP called and wanted a copy of the first biopsy. Again. This sounds easy enough, but why not order it through the old providers themselves? Two different medical platforms; sharing’s like straining uncooked squash through a sieve. #breastcancer

My cat and I were alone this weekend in my not ancient home. He seemed to be on alert, and after a while I noticed odd random sounds in the house. One night my bedroom door rattled and later I heard knocking. Then two shut storage closets opened. Either the cat’s grown thumbs, or we’re haunted.
