I misread it as "candy porn".

I want a re-do.

I like how he hijacking the damn show and looks directly into the camera like "I'm hosting now bitch" 🤣

MCCALLUM: “Margaret Thatcher said socialism’s great until you run out of other people’s money.”

🔥ZOHRAN: “Cuomo had $900 million and gave it to Elon musk in tax credits— I wish the debate were like NASCAR so people could see logos of billionaires who sponsor him on his jacket.”

Sorry folks...Bernie was probably right. Billions is too much money for anyone to have. It perverts reality and power and politics.

It isn't healthy.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Just accept the rage baiting or take the L and say "oops I wrote that poorly"

🤷‍♂️😆

It's a conundrum isn't it...wanting the attack dog when it's useful and then bemoaning the attack dog when you want a play nice candidate.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Where are the Dem farmers or just brave farmers who will spread the word and stand up?
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Love the slight of hand here.

"Popular with PA voters"

But he has to make it through a primary first...and he's NOT popular with Dem voters.

So he's cooked.

And him being primaried won't tear the Dems apart.

SCOOP: Top Democrats in Pennsylvania are maneuvering to run against Sen. John Fetterman in a 2028 primary, threatening to tear the party apart in the biggest battleground state in the nation.
Scoop: Dems plot Fetterman ouster
He's still popular with Pennsylvania voters, even as Democrats turn on him.

Yes. This.

They want us poor and weak and dependent on them.

Trump wants to be begged for favor.

The rich want to feel their entitled places above the common man.

They want to destroy what was so they can control what is to come.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
We made a big assumption that Trump's loss in 2020 was a repudiation of Trump/MAGA and not just a "we are angry and want change because the pandemic sucks" reaction.

We assumed he couldn't win again.

We lack imagination.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
The only restraint is "what about when we're out of power"...and it feels like Trump is trying to solve that one as well (we never will be).
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
It does kinda make you wonder what happens if the Majority just says "we're gonna do what we want" and ignores whatever rules it wants.

What's the cost in a world where the executive is ignoring the law and SCOTUS is remaking the constitution. 🤷‍♂️
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
People accuse Dems of lacking in imagination on what Trump could do...but honestly many of his own voters assumed he was going to be "trump v1 normal" and lacked the imagination to see what trump v2 was going to be.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
This is going to be the test for Dems. How far do they push for a "reckoning" and a de-MAGAfication of the fed gov.

How does that look to the public any different than what Trump did (anti-woke)...and does that just mean every 4-8 years we do purges?
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Hopefully he'll be more a Sherrod Brown than Fetterman.

Fetterman served as Lt. Governor of PA as a good Dem.

The dude had a stroke and hasn't been the same.

Not even sure you can compare him to anyone else.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Not sure how these are regulated but every piece of hardware and code in these devices should be transparent and open source.

There should be no stone under which rigging can hide.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Depends on how the vote comes out I guess.

And No Kings is a step in pressuring for that kind of action.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
I don't think there really IS going to he a "reversing" depending on how much power SCOTUS gives the executive.

If the People sweep in Dems in 2028 with large enough majorities then maybe we can shore up the law...but the constitutional failure is a big problem that can't be easily remedied IMO.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Dems will be able to hold hearings, control the budget process, and maybe even get in an impeachment of Bondi or RFK Jr (if the Senate had enough votes to remove)

Is it THE answer?

No.

But it is another step in the long road back.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Let me be clear. We gave Trump and the GOP control of the gov.

There is NO way to undo that with some magic wand.

We're "in the trenches" now and this is a contest of wills that will be fought over the next 4 years.

Dems winning in 2026 is the first chance to take back some level of power.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Yes, I think it helps civil institutions to stand up to him...like colleges, the media, state governments, etc.

It isn't some kind of magical answer, but it is another brick in the wall of defiance against his lawlessness.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
Dems should not *claim* No Kings. Part of its potential power is that it is by the People not the politicians.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
This dude acts like he isn't the leader of the f*cking Senate of the United States of America. He has agency here.

He should be TELLING Trump and Johnson...we are going to do this the right way and I will not rat-f*ck the process.
fdrobovelt.bsky.social
IMHO we need to look to the past less. We have become shackled to it in some ways...both narratively and from "what does the data say".

It has limited our imaginations to what is possible...both good and bad (Trump).

What history thinks of No Kings 50 years from now is irrelevant and blinds us.
