D’Angelo’s death has rocked me as badly as Aaliyah’s did. When you think you can’t cry no more you see something and it just tears you apart. I can’t even put into words how that man’s music felt to me since 5 years old. This is just painful.

I’m not even tryna be a groupie or a stan but I have ever connected to D’Angelo since I was young. Not just that “Untitled” video but his musicianship, his struggles, his spirit, and musically being an inspiration to me safe enough to say my favorite male vocalist and musician.
