sometimes I just scratch a plain underpainting for an hour, sometimes I lock into art supercharge and accomplish a ridiculous amount of stuff (and forget it was only supposed to be an hour) but either way it's good for me

I saw something recently that said a strategy for adhd is you just need to commit to doing 30%. The full scope of 100% of a project is just too overwhelming. So just start with some thumbnails or sketches for now and then commit to another 30% another day or week. Any progress IS progress

this is very funny to me as the guy who took 28 years to realise I had claustrophobia because I used to think "no I mean I'm not AFRAID of small spaces I just feel like I'm gonna die and get like heart attack symptoms lol. but you know. I go in them if I have to it's whatever"

honestly I don't do a lot of people things and I talk to humans in very small controlled settings when I can help it so I tend to completely forget I have off the rails social anxiety

yeah it's informed by my experience as an immigrant and me growing up in a small town as an lgbt+ person without knowing what anything is but it's not about any of these, it's not really a me thing if that makes sense

it's about alienation and otherness. it's about being different in an insular culture and having to shed your skin or put one on to fit in. it's about sin and darkness, and the uneven weighting of one's actions based on the perception of their nature. you know
