I'm just researching the issue. Life is always shades of gray rather than black and white.
But it's about credibility and respect, as well as perspective, like a uniform.
What is the difference between a mandate and quotas?
Yeah, I would likely follow him, mostly because it's burdensome, and it's unclear how it serves anyone.
So, for example, I have a 100 Indians programming for me, and a job opening comes up, and I want to fill it with an American software engineer. Is that contrary to equality?
I guess I'm confused about how equity leads to inequality, knowing very little about how DEI is implemented in large corporations. Can you point me to a discussion on the issue?
So, DEI is the umbrella for AA... quotas and what not?
How about Costco who wants a diverse public image, suggesting everyone is welcome there, like windows dressing. Is that wrong?
So all I'm saying is apparently it's perfectly fine for state legislators to use race as a determining factor when gerrymandering, but it's not okay to require race as part of the determination for a job position?
Yes, it is discrimination. And watch the gerrymandering after the Supreme Court kills the voting rights act. There is a reason for DEI.
I particularly liked Biden sending the FBI to the capital on Jan 6 while Trump was president. As others have said, "This is a stupid time to be alive."
They are pages and pages of concepts. It's is incredibly difficult to put something together that makes everyone or no one happy. They keep saying that they have to kill the ACA before they can overhaul it. It makes sense only if the real objective is to do as they have done, defund it.
Underlying coffee prices move a lot but the Brazilian tariffs are taking a toll.
There seems to be some grifting between OPEC and this administration as well
It fits with the tariffs mentality.
Pretty much all the hybrids are well into the 40 and 50 MPG range.
Next to go are air bags, seat belts, baby seats, and collapsible steering columns.
Yeah, the knives seem a little redundant
And, I'm assuming electric vehicles are included in the fleet averages...
Who decides the standard can't be met?
Heavy-duty pickup trucks and vans (model years 2030-2035)
Model years 2030-2032: A 10% annual increase.
Model years 2033-2035: An 8% annual increase.
Fleet-wide average: Approximately 35 mpg by model year 2035.
